Museum Complex

more than a decade on the market

BEGINNING

Started off as a state owned company in 2010, Museum Complex was acquired in 2014 by Tibor POLGÁR, chief executive since the foundation. The private company form enabled us to execute large-scale investments and developments, which resulted in a constant growth of business and capacity.

Member of ICEFAT

Our expertise was appreciated and acknowledged by numerous members of the international fine art shipping scene. After a decade of experience in this field and with several projects completed with prestigious partner companies, we felt that it was time to become an even more integrated actor of this community. We are proud to announce that in the spring of 2020, after a successful application procedure, Museum Complex became an official member of ICEFAT.

getting stronger

We are constantly developing and increasing our fleet of fully equipped fine art trucks. Our new Mercedes Actros, having already completed its first shipments, offers an impressive inner cargo space height of 285 cm, which definitely meets the “highest” standards of international fine art shipping. A variety of trucks with different cargo box size and max. loaded weight is available to fulfill the strictest demands in the business.

10 years

During the past 10 years we were able to build the most experienced and largest team of fine art technicians and management in Hungary, to inaugurate 25,000 m2 of secured fine art warehouse and museums service center capacity (Artsafe 1 and Artsafe 2 warehouses in Budapest, while – based on the business results of the year 2018) – we have become the market leaders of Hungary in fine art transport.

our Biggest challange

Currently we have been working on the biggest fine art shipping projects ever realized in Hungary, such as the Liget Project and related shipments (moving complete collections of the Hungarian National Gallery – Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Ethnograpy, Museum of Transport and Technology and others) as well as moving the complete collection of the Museum of Applied Arts. In our fine art warehouses we provide storage for the complete collection of Museum of Applied Arts (2nd largest applied arts collection in the world after V&A) as well as for Museum of Technology and Transport collections. As of the spring of 2021, the Eastern Asian collection of the Museum of Fine Arts has been moved to our warehouse as well.
